A small act of kindness turned into big smiles
Sometimes it takes very little to bring joy to children who have lost so much.

When we offered to pay for the shipping, Thomas kindly declined and paid for the transport to our warehouse in Denmark himself. For the family it was important that the gifts reached children living under the very hard conditions of war.
Last week, Støt Ukraine sent a large truck of humanitarian aid from Denmark to Ukraine. The shipment held food, medicine, hygiene products, school materials, clothing, sports equipment and toys collected by people from all over Denmark.
Among these gifts were also Olivia’s teddy bears.
After a long journey, the help reached the Kharkiv region, close to the front line. Because of the difficult security situation and the constant attacks, the delivery was carried out with assistance from a special unit of the Ukrainian National Police.
The gifts were handed to children who live and study under very difficult conditions. The school where the handout took place is underground and serves as a shelter against missile and drone attacks. There are no windows in the building, as safety is the top priority.
Many of the children have lost one or both parents because of the war. Others live in families who struggle every day with the consequences of the conflict.
Olivia’s story reminds us that even the smallest act can make a big difference. A teddy bear, a box of toys or a single donation can bring hope to children living in the middle of the reality of war.
On behalf of Støt Ukraine, we want to give a heartfelt thanks to Thomas, Olivia and everyone in Denmark who supports Ukraine. Your help reaches its destination. Your support makes a difference. And your humanity brings hope to the people who need it most.

She saved children from the war, now she is fighting for her own life
Some people never seek attention. They do the right thing because someone needs them. They save lives. They protect children. They keep going, even when it is life-threatening.
